I bought this for my son to wear at Halloween. He has a very active imagination and loves to act out Pokemon battles. He loved it as a costume but it is also getting a lot of play on the weekends. The jacket and hat are excellent quality with the gloves and pants being typical of costumes.
This version of Ash was pretty good. The jacket was nice. cotton. the pants were that shinny matterial they make most costumes with these days which kind of sucks and the hat was kind of weak. Too small for my son. I had to order another regular hat from another vender. so all in all the costume ended up costing me alot. but my kid loved it.
5 year old LOVED his Ash costume and was thrilled to wear it. I bought the medium (8-10) to wear over heavy clothes and he's a small size 6 usually. The hat was cheap and really small (but fine for the costume) and the pants were huge for him - had to take them in and hem them for Halloween night. He just wore his regular pants when wearing it to school. Jacket fit fine as it's just a vest really. Not sure it was worth the cash but it did make him really happy.
The costume is made of the same cheap material that most other costumes are made of. The hat is at least 2 sizes too small for my 8 year old, so we ordered another hat separately. Otherwise, it does the trick.
Costume arrived in perfect condition much quicker than the estimated arrival date. Costume fit well for the size range 8-10. All the essential pieces for your child to pretend to be a Pokemon trainer.
